What is metal bat?

A metal bat is a baseball or softball bat made with metal or metal alloys such as aluminum or titanium. It is commonly used in amateur and professional sports and provides a number of advantages over traditional wooden bats. Metal bats are lighter, more durable, and have a larger sweet spot which enables the batter to hit the ball farther. However, there are some criticisms of metal bats in regards to their safety and performance compared to wooden bats. In particular, metal bats are known to produce faster exit velocities which increases the risk of injury to pitchers and fielders. Despite this, metal bats remain popular and continue to be used in various levels of baseball and softball.
